Douglas Dental Center is a dental clinic in Waukegan, Illinois. It is listed at 2605 Grand Ave A, Waukegan, IL 60085, which places it among the local businesses of Waukegan that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

I was very afraid to go to the dentist, but they made me feel very comfortable and calm from the first moment. The treatment was very professional and painless. Thank you very much!

I never write reviews for places but this is very justified. 1) Staff was generally very rude and dismissive, especially the dentist, whom I had trouble understanding at some points and seemed very annoyed when asking her to repeat herself. 2) THEY DO NOT CARE IF YOU ARE IN PAIN. I went to get 2 fillings today, one of them being on a tooth which I already expressed was in pain. After the numbing shots, I could still feel her drill into my tooth. I asked her to stop and she said she was almost done, so I let her continue. She proceeded to keep drilling further into my tooth... she was not almost done. When she went to the second tooth, the tooth that was already in pain, I could still feel the drill and was in seriously sharp pain and asked her to stop again. She proceeded to tell me that what I was feeling was pressure. I asked for a little bit more of the numbing agent and seemed annoyed again, and I'm not even totally sure if she did give me more but she stuck some tool in my mouth. I could feel her drilling into my tooth and nerve pain the entire time. I was visibly shaking in the chair. Mind you, I had had 8 fillings before at a different dentist and none of them hurt nearly as

Staff was very sweet! They took care of me as soon as I came in. The dentist provided a lot of insight with my dental care! They offered me a βgoodie bagβ with dental utensils needed at home. Setting up my next appointment with the staff was very flexible and easy:)

Even giving 1 star is being generous. I started at this dentist a little over 3 years ago during Covid because I was desperate after a broken tooth, they did a root canal and temporary bonding. Told me I needed braces (always been told my teeth were fine other than an overbite). I got the braces and had to pay $5000 out of pocket just to end up with crooked teeth and my bite never even being fixed. They tried telling me I needed veneers on certain teeth for whatever reason which I said no to because that was a couple more thousand out of pocket for no reason. My retainer was molded crooked and I didnβt get it until more than a month after I had my braces removed. Iβm now having to get braces again a year after having them removed to correct the damage they caused as well as finally fix my bite which is why I even got them to begin with. Tried contacting them for my records and Iβm being ignored. On top of it all every cleaning I went in for my teeth didnβt even feel clean after, I was better off just brushing my teeth regularly. This place is super unprofessional and just after money.
